I was student when he served as Prime Minister, and I often reflect on how profoundly those years shaped my path. I benefited greatly from the opportunities created during that time. For example, having access to free education, or full health coverage gave me a sense of security that allowed me to focus on my studies and look ahead with confidence. At a stage when I needed to work while continuing my education, the 35-hour work policy made it possible to do both, to study, to contribute, and to find balance. Later, as I completed my education, I was able to access better opportunities, earn a fair income, and give back through my work and through contributing to our social system. I have also deeply admired the progressive policies he introduced to advance women’s representation and political participation. These were not just political measures, they were changes that shaped real lives, including mine. I often find myself wishing I had the chance to meet him, if only to say thank you, for creating the conditions that allowed so many of us not only to dream, but to build, to contribute, and to belong. I truly believe that France has been shaped in lasting and positive ways by the opportunities he and his government created. I am deeply saddened that he has left us. May his soul rest in peace🙏
